- High school student of African American; Native American, Alaskan, and Hawaiian; or Hispanic/Latino heritage
- US citizen or lawful permanent resident of the US
- Intended or declared major in transportation engineering, planning, or a related field
- Full-time enrollment or intended enrollment at an accredited college/university with an ITE student chapter
- Minimum 3.0 GPA on 4.0 scale
- Minimum ACT math score of 19 or SAT math score of 510
- Additional preferences: first generation college student and low household income
